Excellent, but certainly on the decline. More like 'a rubber fist in a silk glove' :) Yet to find a bottle of Gaja 'straight' Barbaresco that comes close to the '01, that to this day still haunts my dreams.

I was suprise by how this wine showed. Just stunning in terms of elegance but this was earthy and showed light cherry and floral leaves. Really long finish and rewards those that waited for this beauty.
