Earthy, charcoal and dusty on the initial nose follow by licorice, and dry cranberry.
Herbal, spicy, plumy on the palate, silky texture, refine tannin and moderate acid. Finishing like a sweet herbal tea.

Very floral nose with strawberries, spice box, cinnamon and tobacco.
It's tight coming out of the bottle. The mouthfeel is pristine. It's so well balanced, with a surprising sweetness, accompanied by saddle leather, maple syrup and super-ripe cherries. This is a monster which had stood still in the bottle. It finishes long and strong.
This is an outstanding super tuscan which will can only evolve to a better place. Leave this for at least another 5 years or so.

No Sangiovese in this graceful beast.
Starting to brown.
Big black fruit nose with baking spice.
Could take some more acid, but very nicely supported. Tannins velvety. Glad we drank it now. On downslope.

10 years and peaking, by far the best and most mature Magari I've tasted. Fantastic nose combining Tuscany and Right Bank Bordeaux, smooth and mature fruit, leather and cassis end with a perfect finish and silky tannins. Gaja almost affordable!
