Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2012 “Hallberg Vineyard - Dijon Clones” pours a deep, slightly cloudy, garnet color with a translucent core, moving out to a watery rim. Medium+ viscosity with very light staining of the tears and signs of light sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with ripe and dried black and red fruits, damp earth, dried flowers and sweet baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin (integrated) and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. The fruit is the center of attention here and it’s big, a bit out of shape and at this point, nearly popping buttons. Drink now while the structure is keeping it together.

High and low night! Rich and spiced with bright red fruit and herbal nose. Needs to open up longer than we gave it but it's holidays in a bottle. With....pizza delivery. 🙊🎊

The last bottle from our visit here two years ago. They kept getting better with time and I wish I had more. Nose jumps out of the glass with forest floor-accented fruit. The palate was really dense and complex with a 30 second finish. Delicious.

Nose shows red fruit and menthol. On the palate, tart red fruit with a sour cherry finish. Good.
