Nice Gary with a bit of age on it. Darker fruit than most RRV pinots I've come across. Blackberry, crushed raspberry, and some mint. Smooth and seductive, this is a higher abv Pinot than I typically care for, but it's in a beautiful place and not at all offensive. A touch of earth on the back end and a lovely lasting finish. Nice stuff.

These wines seem to be improving the last few years. Loam qualities jump out on the nose. Wine lacks a little concentration and the tannins are a little disjointed. The wine just might be in transition, but the quality is there. I would let this wine rest for another year or two.

Drinking really well right now; in its prime. Ripe red fruit balanced with menthol notes, forest-floor earthiness, and a bit of spice. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Paired perfectly with Christmas Day duck breast dinner.
