Russian River Selection Pinot Noir

pale translucent reddish purple with amber rim; crunchy dried leaves, fennel, black tea; sour pomegranate and cherry; light bodied, medium+ acidity, light tannin, 12.5% ABV; light, fresh style with signature of Bien Nacido vineyard; $70

Intense red fruit with polished tannins. Touch of French vanilla beans.

Had on the 2nd day. Fruity. Not as dense as normal.

Had slightly higher expectations but still decent. Would buy again for the right price.

Tart sour cherries, Vanilla Coke, nice wine for some smoked salmon.

A rare Pinot (that isn’t from Oregon) that I liked!

Cassis liquor on the nose with vanilla notes, baking spices and cola undertones. Medium bodied, light ruby color, lower viscosity.

Nice balance here.

Sweet fruity notes , with a surprise of sour at the end

I like Pinot in general but I can’t say I loved this one. There was just something off, maybe a bit too acidic?
