An unusual Riesling from Piedmont which I believe Aldo planted in the mid-80's; a first in the region. Popped and poured. Golden colored in the glass. Petrol, melons, flowers and citrus. This sort of comes across as an off-dry example. Absolutely lovely and paired perfectly with our spicy Thai take out.

Just thoroughly enjoying this.
Straw yellow in color, with a touch of green hints.
Grapefruit, peach, earthy- creaminess, citrus notes to it. That jumps from the glass. Secondary notes of flowers & modest amount of minerals. The 2015 is special. I’ll have to pick up a 14 .

On a cold snowy day north of the Arctic circle this is a good start. Fresh crisp fruits with a creamy body that disappears into crispness in the end.

The amazing thing about this bottle, as we tasted in in Barolo along with several other whites, is that this wine has an floral and structural quality that is so much like all of the other whites. It’s like a blend of Arneis and German Riesling. Floral and aromatic, with intense acidity. Light, but with some RS. Wonderful!

2015 vintage. Very dry. Lime peel, crunchy unripe pear, green apple, white rocks, chamomile, dried white sage.
