This is the 2017 vintage - a lot like my notes on the 2015 strawberry jam fruit

It’s growing on me. The longer I leave the bottle to aerate the better this one tastes. Really enjoying it on day two of being opened.

Oct 4th, 2020Fruity but not sweet, almost perfume or floral, strawberries. Probably better in the summer than on a cold winter night. 2017 vintage.

Much darker in color than other Gamays I've had. Bright tart red fruit on the nose, a little astringent. Tastes of tart dried strawberries with a slightly sweet finish. Also some earth and mineral notes, and some of the astringency on the nose is also present in the taste, a bit alcoholy. Nevertheless I love Gamays and this is a solid one, and also the only one my Trader Joe's carries. One of my favorite wines under $10 from TJ's so far.
