Tastes young/green. Berry and a bit of tannin. Would be sweet, if not for acid. Probably fine with grilled meats, but a little thin and uninteresting alone.

Ruby in color with a light intensity and a red rim.
On the nose, vanilla, licorice, blackberries, earth, blueberries, cherries, red currants and peppercorn.
Medium bodied.
Dry on the palate with cherries, currants, forest floor, strawberries, peppercorn and plums.
Medium finish with soft tannins and black pepper.
Ok wine, but too earthy for my taste.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Jul 18th, 2015Deep ruby /violet in color.
Nose of heavy cloves and spices with blackberries, red currants, blueberries and figs.
Medium to full bodied.
Sweet on the palate with black fruits, vannilla, earth and spices.
Soft tannins on the finish.
It did not sit well with me just by itself. Was a lot better with fatty cheeses.
