Good barolo on the verge of breaking into the tertiary territory. Concentrated lush fruits, sticky tar, asphalt and softening tannines. I prefer them a step further down the road so I’ll revisit in two years.

Jan 1st, 2022Day 2... evolved over dinner last night. Now opening up with aroma of violets, cherry pie, leather, tar, and clove. Masculine style. Rich and juicy with a bold tannin backbone which shows on the mid-palate. Dark berry and cherry fruit, layered with toasty oak and vanilla shine as well. Plenty of structure to go 10+ more years. Pair with fatty meats.

Jul 21st, 2015Big fan of the Nebbiolo grape, but not this one. Clearly someone had sabotaged the vineyard with South American gamay grapes! I am not a fool and do not appreciate false advertising. If this was labeled as such, I'd award this varietal a 9.5 because it's rather pleasing. However, given the circumstances, I have no choice but to award this "wine" the lowest possible score ever.
