A more gentle Nebbiolo. Light ruby color with a garnet rim. Aromas of sour red berry fruit, leather, forest floor and smoke. Sour cherry, cranberry and pomegranate fruit flavors with hints of tobacco, dark chocolate and earth. No obvious indication of oak aging. Tannins are relatively mild and pretty well integrated. Well concentrated but slightly out of balance. Somewhat elegant and restrained. Not what I expected. Thank you for the bottle, Ron B!
