Decanted for about nine hours. Fresh raspberries, cherries, and a bit of mushrooms. Very elegant. Full-bodied, but not quite as powerful as other Barolos I’ve had over the years.

Definitely modern style. Big, surprisingly little bricking and a strong wall of tannin clamps down on the finish. Even after 3 hours open the tannins are firm and dominant. Best with rich food.

took a looong time to open up. the higher alcohol content (14.5)may have been the reason....
and when it finally lost the tightness it was spectacular.

Dusky leather. Dark and deep. Could probably go another 5-10 years
