Like, not love. Wishing I could get the perfect vivace Freisa to wash down my salumi. Slightly bitter, nice acid, maybe a bit rich. V. good.

Drank over 2 days, very floral and tight on day 1 with notes of roasted orange peel, cherry and dried anise star. Very tannic throughout, with high acidity. Textbook, old school Piedmont eye red, not for everyone ut of you like traditional Barolo and less oak this is in your wheelhouse. A huge value too at $20. #piedmonte #mascarello

Powerful for a freisa. Medium, drying tannins and medium plus acid. Good for lighter and in between.

After the ballers left I had to low brow it with Freisa. Quite pleasant but it ain't DRC.

Had this tasty Freisa from the classic Guiseppe Mascarello estate while at home with @Souvla roast pork and also some tasty porcini filled ravioli finished with black truffle butter. We feature this at Merchants of Beverage
