This wine utilizes the "Apassimento" method of drying the Merlot & Corvina grades before crushing them. The result is a rich hearty nose full of dried fruit, notably dates & figs. The hearty notes carry over to the body with added flavors of black cherry and cocoa on the finish. Soft unobtrusive tannins make this an excellent wine to have by itself, and it also paired well with traditional polish periogi. Excited for this to be one of our wedding wines! ($13.5) [1/23/19]

Jul 18th, 2020Tried the 2016 vintage. Dark ruby red color. Strong nose with vanilla tones and forest fruits (blackberries). The alcohol (14%) overpowers the nose even after 30 min of opening. Soft tannins on the palate with medium finish. The oak aging gives a spicy tingle on the tongue.
