Celebrating a journal publication... This Barolo is in a beautiful place right now. Showing bricking with a slightly lighter center hue. Softer nose, surprising for this cru, with bramble berry, rose perfume, dried leather, and pine needles. Velvet tannins with ripe acidity deliver juicy blackcherry fruit, with a slight kool-aid feel - in a good happy childhood memory kind of way - adding mid-palate sweetness. Finishes dry, yet strikingly balanced with integrated tannin and excellent length. Just a touch of oak hangs on. Medium weight and softening. Drink now with a little time in the glass.
