Red, red wine... (like you know UB40 sang about). Smells fruit forward and fruit soup-y. Plenty of cooked fruits and marshmallow + caramels. Flavor is also forward with the fruit (cooked sweet cherries, blackberry pies, and desserts containing raisins). Leaves a hit of alcohol burn in the throat. It’s a pretty standard Lodi Zin. Some depth. Bit of character, but also almost too over the top with the fruit, mocha, oak-flavor experience. For this type of Zin it’s right in the wheelhouse. Just not what I go for these days.
