Much richer and fuller than the Hatzidakis we have at the store. Has an almond and herbal quality to it, almost mas Julien like

This wine is hard to evaluate. Like no other Assyrtiko. It is a complex wine, with apple flavor and some funk. But it has no relation to Assyrtiko or what is expected from Santorini. And it is too expensive.

Lemon, salt air, island shrubbery on the nose. And some rocks. Viscous mouth feel. Works well with sea food and lighter meats. Island magic.

Lemon, acid, and chalky minerals punch you in the mouth, yet linger for unexpected lengths in this Grecian wine, which reminds of the ocean. Easily teamed with scallops, but I sipped so I could savor on its own. Definitely worth adding to your collection.

30/05 - At a tasting in Paris, this one is one of the top 3 Assyrtiko I' ve ever tasted. It needs time in the bottle to express its self, whether we like it or not!
