HG III Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
Classic Napa - a little heavy on the new oak but again that’s classic Napa as well.

Oct 22nd, 2017Is it ground hog day...I swear we did this yesterday 🤣. Thats because this is our regularly scheduled Friday date night. Great new wine, gives Prisoner a run for its money. A little lighter than Prisoner, definitely fruit forward, and after it sits it becomes a little more jammy and smooth on the finish.

Aug 25th, 2019Deep, impenetrable garnet in the glass with a big nose of plums, a hint of green pepper, candied cherries, and cinnamon. This is all primary here, and it’s beautiful. Merlot heavy Napa blends can get stale and boring in a hurry, unless you start with beautiful fruit and talent. Well structured with silk on the tongue and firm tannins. There’s a defined streak of chocolate mousse throughout that keeps things fun. And have I mentioned how sexy these legs are? More fruit on the palate with black cherries and blueberries to go with cocoa beans and just a touch of leather. This is a fruit forward, certainly. But a fruit forward Napa bottle done right.

Feb 16th, 2019This is a very nice if somewhat straightforward wine. Polished low tannins and interesting melange of blue fruits.

Jan 10th, 2019Thank you David Stevens at 750 Wines for introducing us to his guitar playing partner’s (Jeff Smith) wine! HG III is a great blend of mostly Merlot, thus giving it a velvety plushness and dark fruits.

Feb 22nd, 2018Rockin’ Cab blend. Needs an hour or so in the decanter to get going. This was another quick pop n pour to toast @Frank on this Thanksgiving eve.
