2019 vintage. Great, earthy, mocha nose. Medium body. 18% Cab, 18% Franc, 64% Merlot. Slightly dryer style. Obvious class afoot but not super-demonstrative. 11.15.24.

A Merlot dominated blend from Carneros, the 2019 Hudson Phoenix shows a medium to deep purple color and bursts from the glass with well-defined aromas of red and black plum, blackberries, raspberries, red currant, menthol and hints of graphite. Medium to full-bodied, the mouthfeel is characterized by soft, polished tannins, a crisp acidity and excellent fruit concentration. Drink now until 2035
