So this is a good story! It’s too hot to go outside for one so I decided to open a wine I haven’t had yet and pair it with some cheese for an afternoon snack. A double Gloucester with onion & chive cheese, a garlic & herb BellaVitano and a soft dill Havarti and of course I love Castelvetrano olives! So… I send this picture to my brother, knowing that he is in France right now and I’m not usually a French wine drinker, and where do you suppose he is? In Alsace!! Needless to say I scored some points with him and am enjoying a new French wine! Thanks Alex!! Oops I forgot, this wine is made up from the Noble grapes of Alsace; Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Muscat. And… the story goes on….while reading a historical fiction about The Women of Chateau Lafayette.

Quite enjoyable. Nice floral and citrus aromas, and flavors of apricot and anjou pear. At first it seemed sweeter than I was expecting, but then on the second night it had mellowed and let more of its character out. Great pairing with Mongolian seafood stirfry. 50% Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc, 22% Pinot Gris, 15% Gewürztraminer, 7% Riesling, 6% Muscat. 5/25/22.

Gorgeous bright and fresh lemon and pineapple nose, then warm and citrusy, with more lemon and pineapple. Seems a little thin, but beautiful and delightful.

Color: very pale. Nose: guava, stones, light custard, some kind of gentle flower - white tea? Very slight green-ness (like green pepper), but not vegetal. Taste: nice mouthfeel, smooth without being viscous, basically all the flavors of the nose with the addition of some slight orange. Straightforward and elegant. 89.

Crisp lemon, granny Smith apple, and a hint of honey. Mellows nicely without being sweet as the acid complements food well. Great with seafood, as in the scallops with a beurre blanc I made.
