Il Marroneto
Madonna delle Grazie Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Really polished Brunello thats extremely well balanced and nuanced. Was surprisingly fresh and a real pleasure to drink. This still has plenty of life left

Hands down, in the top 3 Brunellos I've had!!
Masterpiece right out of the bottle! Cherry, apples, touch of smoke and hazelnut; long long finish! Drinking it with fresh mozzarella stuffed fried zucchini flowers; OMG!! They probably serve it in haven!!
Bravissimo, il Marroneto!!

Had with NY Strip. Decanted but only for a bit. Very pleasant, got better by end of meal. Compared to another Brunello that was 2nd bottle, this one blew it away.

Apr 7th, 2017Excellent, if a bit young, Brunello. Nose of tobacco, leather. On the palate it is medium to full bodied, noticeable tannin on the finish, with flavors of juicy dark fruit, like plums or blackberries. While great now I'd wait a couple more years.
