On the savory side of Syrah, though there's also a nice fruit buffer against the savory notes. Spicy too and a bit of tannic grip. Quite nice... consistent with my tasting at the winery about a year ago if a bit more mellow.

Young yet, but the full throttle fruit is beginning to pull back a bit, giving more space for the smokey/meaty/savory qualities to step forward. Really shines with roasted sweet potatoes and a meaty kitchen sink soup.

Really fun wine to drink for Halloween. Very exciting when we thought it was gone but then realized there was still two glasses worth in the decanter. Need to get more for the next holiday, you know...veterans day
