This spicy Zinfandel from Lodi California is simple and soft, with a light mouthfeel. Easy drinking and plain. Balanced and not jammy at all.
Good right out of the bottle and does not change much with airtime. Would be a good red for parties or just by itself as a sipping wine by the porch.
Would be a good choice for the red wine beginner. Feels like an average Californian Red Blend.
Drinks very easily for the high alcohol it contains, so watch out... 😃

Fruit-forward, hint of black pepper on the finish. Enjoyable to sip and pretty flexible with foods. Paired adequately with med buffalo wings, even with the 14.5% abv.

Mar 7th, 2017Ok table Zin. Tart berry with a slight alcohol tang on the back of the tongue. Vanilla & black pepper notes with a tiny hint of mustiness.
