Nice deep red/purple color. Big thick legs on the side of the glass. The cherry aroma gives way to a wealth of secondary smells: vanilla, smoke, leather, pepper. The taste is pretty well balanced. Good sweetness up front quickly transitions to a strong but comfortable tannin profile. Eventually the tastes subside leaving a pleasant warmth on the tongue and throat. Big body overall, but not over powering. Enjoyed on a pleasant evening at home with the family. Brandi just got back from a long week on the road, Colorado and California.
