Vintage 2014 | Sometimes I do not understand my winefriends, they think this wine is too old. I think it’s great in elegance, spicyness and flint in smell, even roses, beautiful balance. It must have been the light colour and roses why four tasters placed it in Piëmont. Let’s say, acquired taste. 😏

Mar 25th, 2025Vintage 2014 | Amazing wine, from 50 Merlot 25 Cabernet Sauvignon and 25 Cabernet Franc. Italian rooftiles colour, clearly evolution. A wonderful bouquet, vanilla and tobacco but above all: finesse! Private label from Jean Berger in Roermond - one of a few Dutch winesellers that has the knowledge of raising wine to perfection and bottle in Holland. Paired with a selection of cheeses like Gruyère and parmigiana and some rillettes.
