A follow up to the 2009 Huet Brut Reserve, because one bottle wasn’t enough for this group! My first experience with the Champagnes of Jean Michel. This wine is 100% Pinot Meunier. My brief notes: the 2012 Meunier pours a golden straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, Texas toast, marzipan and fresh canister of tennis balls. On the palate, fresh raspberries and lemon curd. Medium+ acid, rich and somewhat round. Easy to like. Disgorged July of 2018.
