Smoked meats, spice and everything nice. This is a serious Syrah - deep purple in color it is a visual blockbuster. Reminds me of a Côte Rotie.

Like the Cote-Rotie and some of the great Australian Shraz, co-fermented with Viognier to make the Syrah really pop. Wonderful wine.

#wbc14 Another gem from Ballard Canyon well integrated supple tannins. Underbrush, licorice, cracked-earth, blackberry and a bit smoky. Extremely well executed, but set at a price point that defies reason.
