Valle de Uco Malbec

Named after Pepe (José) Zuccardi, who runs winery alongside his son Sebastián, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon added, deep Ruby with aromas of dark red fruits, baking spice and floral notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with licorice, herb pepper and oak. Fine chalky tannins, lively acidity, long finish ending with fruit, spice and mineral notes. Nice!

This wine has a deep, inky purple hue; on the nose and palate are ripe blackberry, black cherry, blackcurrant, plum, fig paste, violet, cacao, black licorice, vanilla bean, potting soil, clove, and fennel notes with refreshing acidity and firm, but well-integrated tannins and a medium(+) body. The alcohol has a warming presence in balance with the intensity of aromas and flavors. This wine is positively delicious!

Wow; expected very good and got great. Went beautifully with a grilled filet.

Nice Malbec, maybe slightly over fruity.

Solid balanced Malbec.

Good Malbec, but not extraordinary. Spicy finish that’s a little too strong for me. Deep bitter cherry to start, followed by heavy pepper.

Paired this with some sick ribeyes on the big green egg. Was expecting this wine to be bigger, but that’s ok. The tartness cut through the fatty chunks of the ribeye. Neon purple on the rim. Long finish.

Klar och ren frukt. Mest betong och stora, stora ekliggare i vinframställningen. Mörka bär, klyvd sten, dova blommor, kaffe, lagerblad.
