Karanika
Xinomavro Blend
2011 vintage. Enjoyed sans food at Bay Grape. Mighty volcanic in its orientation, the acidity is firm and almost a bit too much at first. As palate acclimates, this becomes highly enjoyable wine to savor. It's almost like the acidity has a chew to it, and drinking is a bit slower in response. Wafty, almost smoky, grip on palate, thinking lighter/gamier red meats, lamblamblamb. Very enjoyable
