Densely packed with wild red fruit, tea and savory herbs, with firm tannins. The 09 was also bone dry but with heady wooded aromatics, and it seems this vintage saw extended skin contact far less American oak (70% French, 25% American. 24 months) but well seasoned. It's an ambitious, mountain grown wine with the fruit and structure to age.

Oct 11th, 2015Dry, racy, cool, and incredibly aromatic. there's a lot going on... Plum/fig, vanilla bean, tobacco/cedar, herbs. Finish is concise and quite dry, with fine tannins.

Mar 9th, 2013Well crafted, excellent fruit & a nice heap of oak, without overshadowing some round, chewy berry notes. Pretty yummy.
