Big, but still restrained perfume of burnt toast and sandalwood. On the palette, the wine is viscous like diesel. Also, it's still sweet and rich, with maraschino cherries, and polished tannins. Typical Aussie style which may not be for everybody. I do recall enjoying this more in its youth.

A very delicate rendition of Shiraz. Very well done. Has a sweet cinnamon, leather, with a hint of maple syrup on the nose. It's thick and dense when poured. White pepper and rich black cherries on the palette. Lovely mouthfeel which finishes with no sharp edges - very strong Aussie wine.

Fruit still fresh and powerful. Ripe, take no prisoners. Spicier than the 2006 I had last night. Full bodied, blackberries, oak, long long finish. Have met the oracle and can now bend the spoon.

Very interesting. Inky black color, I mean black! Sweet lavender nose, probably employed new barrels in the cellar with an immense amount of full bodied and powerful blackberry, blueberry and whatever berry! It’s very Australian and very good.

The somms and the public may have eschewed Shiraz, but this wine is so silky and smooth that I wonder if the change in public sentiment is warranted.
