Big, but still restrained perfume of burnt toast and sandalwood. On the palette, the wine is viscous like diesel. Also, it's still sweet and rich, with maraschino cherries, and polished tannins. Typical Aussie style which may not be for everybody. I do recall enjoying this more in its youth.

White pepper and rich black cherries on the palette. Lovely mouthfeel which finishes with no sharp edges - very strong Aussie wine.

Sep 18th, 2019The somms and the public may have eschewed Shiraz, but this wine is so silky and smooth that I wonder if the change in public sentiment is warranted.
