Old Block Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark ruby in color with a wide cloudy, reddish rim.

Nose of red berries with spices, light oak, chocolates, green tea and earth.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, red plums, earth, light wood, herbs, spices, coffee and peppercorn.

Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a young Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Mountain. Powerful and rich. Complex and interesting.

Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, and would be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolves.

Good by itself or with food.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in (52% new) French Oak barrels for 22 months. A small production of less than 3,000 bottles.

When I was a small kid, my mom took me blackberry picking - I’m transported back there (way back there) with this nose. And I just adore the finish- it’s like cheesecake 🤩 my only gripe is that I didn’t purchase at least 6 bottles 🍷
