Nose has grilled cherry, slightly ripe blackberry, distant baking spice and warm cedar plank.
Palate has fresh/dry cherry combo, licorice, white pepper and dried black currant. Drying finish with medium tannins, decanted 2h.
Solid wine for $19.89 at my local Costco. Bought to try out, likely will benefit from a couple more years of aging.
I would be interested in trying the 2016 vintage, it should be a stronger wine. 2015 is going to be a solid cooking wine IMHO, stock up.

Leathery and well structured, with soft dark fruit opening up over time. Not what I’d call a classic Barolo, but for $20 this really did the job
