Kirkland Signature
Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay
Drank 2/14/23
On the nose, white peach, lemon cream pie, and some river rock. Palate is clean with lemon curd and minerality. A touch of tannin on the finish, that lasts quite a while. Premier Cru?perhaps not, bit a solid buy, and for a $17 burg I would drink this all day.
4/20/8/4/4 +50 = 90 pts.

2020 | Chardonnay
Kirkland Signature (Costco); 1er Cru
Burgundy; Chablis, France
I have little care regarding what parcels this blend is coming from, at $17.49 it's a total value in play. Slightly softer on the acidity front than the 2019 vintage, so even more accessible now. Lemon and seashells can't do harm, drink and enjoy.

Tasted blind next to two other white Burgundies. It had a fake quality that I couldn’t get over. By itself, very easy drinking. Not bad for the price but definitely not indicative of Premier Cru.
