As my wife said, "this is a freaking Pinot?!" Ya, my style of Pinot. Forget those who shy away from 2011's...I find enjoyment in them. Great winemakers make great wine regardless of vintage. A bit of a tropical note on this, like pomegranate. Maybe a small bit of clove (could be the type of oak used).

Just arrived, I really enjoy tasting a wine when it is just released. For me personally, it is great to document the journey of how it changes throughout the years. Looking forward to tasting it again next year.

Took a little time to open up but when it did it was very bright with nice structure and lots of red berry flavor

Restaurant had half off wine and let me get this one. Long finish that goes on for days..... Great opportunity to try a great wine!
