It was couples night out so no reason the wine should be exempt from bringing a partner . The complexity on the nose and palate was exceptional. The texture has evolved to where one thinks they could be drinking grand cru Burgundy. Effortless to drink.

Lemon straw color. Lots of fine bubbles and a fruity vibrant nose. Notes of lemon, citrus and some toast. Still a baby. This has a nice life ahead of it and should improve.

2000 is drinking insanely a la moment....... gentle reminder of why Krug is king. Perfect tug o war between opulence and linear focus. Sublime

ID 113014 Revisiting this wine after a 3 year break. Oh has it changed! Prior notes were ‘citrus and lemon ‘. Couldn’t be further from that now. Wonderful golden colour, persistent fine bead. Time in the cellar has given this wine some ‘fat’ and is now more orchard stone fruit and candid honey flavour with subtle hints of white pear and cinnamon.
Looking forward to checking this out again in another 3 to 5 years time.

Lemony and mineral on the nose with a touch of yeast, while it has picked up a hint of nutty richness on the palate while still showing great freshness. Splendid.
