2004 reserva. Very much a traditional rioja. Dried cherries, dill, balsamic, pipe tobacco, chocolate, mint, prunes, rosemary. A beautiful core of earth (semi-scorched) on the palette with sour cherries. Ample acidity, great integration. This is really in its drinking window now.

Dec 27th, 2014Paired well with a chorizo pasta homemade dinner while in Haro, following a tasting at LRA today. Lifted aromatics... dried cherry, balsamic, cracked pepper, hints of dried oak. Acid driven influenced by the mazuelo in the blend. Bright strawberry and red cherry fruit. Still fresh on the palate. Finishes with persistence. Food wine. Drink now.

Apr 25th, 2018Absolutely one of the best Rioja's. Blackberry, perfect mellowed tannins. Been saving this one for years and was worth it.
