Lanson
Gold Label Brut Champagne
This 09 bottling really exceeded my expectations. Even parts PN/Chard, all from gran cru villages, this showcase the long aging (in this case 9 years) and non-malo that are the signature house style beautifully. Red berries, apple, and lemon custard grace the slight nutty nose. Creamy mousse. On the palate it was supple yet bright, with a long energetic floral finish. Savory, fresh and precise.
