Dense red currant is ‘wrassled’ down by fennel aromas, mint and black cherry with strawberry and blackberry hidden beneath its thick canopy of fern and forrest; including moss and mushroom. Actually amazing! Not going to ever guess that this herbaceous monster with rim to rim colt density is an 11 yr old Calistoga! Meaty notes of grill and marinated fungi. Very mineral expression under all the fruit. Crushed earth, crushed plums, cassis, pencil lead, super elegant tannin given its youth. Love how the oak is there for support not to showboat.

Beautiful Cabernet.... dark fruit on the nose, dry from start to finish on the palate with a complex blend of fruit and earth balancing its dry finish.

Finally decanted with great friends in London. Deep cherry bliss.

Thia is really extraordinary. It's as if an excellent Bordeaux mates with a bold California Cab and you had the best of both. Superbly balanced and delicious.
