Decanted for 90 minutes. Needed time to open up and tannins to soften a little. Very enjoyable.

Star anise, rhubarb and petroleum on the nose. Mouthfeel is a bit tannic with just enough fruit to hold off some serious tannins. Not as refined as the estate bottling but enjoyable. I don’t see this getting any better with age as Im not sure there is enough fruit to balance the tannins in the long run.

Good, if relatively generic, Napa cab. Not showing the signature bouquet or complexity of their Estate cab.

Tasty! Tart, fruity, spicy. Lighter red, but interesting from beginning to end. Great to drink when we can afford it!
