Not as big and bold as expected from David T'a comment below, but we are sipping the 2012. Very drinkable-not tight and tannins softer than expected. Balanced dark fruits and earth-pairing well with meat pie and lamb. Drinking at Azienda Il Casale near Pienza with killer view of the Mount Ariata.

2011; True to the vintage characteristics, this is pretty big and broad shouldered, yet it retains freshness for balance. Thru 2025.

Lovely wine. Pairs with Greek lamb dishes and hearty appetizer to which it held up nicely. Would search this one out again! Moderate but complex body with great balance start to finish.
