Fresh herbs dominate the bouquet and mingles well with the cherry tart and cocoa powder. Definitely full bodied but not overpowering, there’s a nice weight to this Merlot. Oak can be the bane of many wines but not when done right and it’s well integrated here. Does it drink more like a Cab? Of course it does, but it still manages to work. A hefty amount of spice on the palate to go along with the raspberries and herbal notes. A solid, sturdy Merlot.

This wine has great body, a very powerful wine. Could age well. A strong bouquet of plum, black cherry, and fresh rain. Good tannins. Great acidity.
