L'Ecole No. 41
Columbia Valley Syrah
Served a little too warm, so the alc. is too prominent. Dark peppery fruit and smoky notes on nose. More like a southern Rhône-grown Syrah than northern. 375 ml.

P: tart blackberries, black cherries, plum, touch of black pepper, herbs, licorice, craggy stones , a few flower petals mixed in, espresso granules. I think it will be even better in a couple more years.

Syrah-predominant US West Coast GSM-style blend. Big, bold, spicy black fruit, Hot at 15% alcohol. Secondary yeasty notes. Unapologetically bold and delicious.

Sep 29th, 2018Strong pleasant nose, light bodied but with lots of flavor. Very drinkable in any setting. My mom will love this.

Jun 30th, 2018One of my favorite Syrah from Washington State. Walla Walla. Deep ruby red with a wonderful nose. Silky and burst of black fruit somewhat dry. Had it at Zinc in San Antonio.
