Amazing wine, still tastes very tough for a 2001. Lots of tannin, deep ink and leather notes with dark fruit.

30 minutes in a decanter: great. 120 minutes: dumb. 5 hours: Amazing. Blackberry cobbler on the nose with a hint of graphite. Eucalyptus, old leather and cigar box across the mid. And the finish, my god, sweet oak, violets and raspberry jam. It keeps building and building. Maybe the best wine I've ever had the privilege to drink.
