M. Chapoutier
Le Méal Ermitage Syrah
Tasted next to 99 Morodoree. This was much more savage and intense. Very rich and still young. Fruit and oak at the forefront (plum). Drinks well now but needs time. Not typical hermitage. Quite sweet.

Oct 30th, 2018A striking wine with beautiful grace and complexity. Plenty of time left to go but very impressive now. #chapoutier #lemeal #ermitage #hermitage #northernrhone #rhonevalley #syrah #ctbucklinwine

Sep 14th, 2014Open for business. Tannines still present (but supportive and resolving), giving way to an wonderfully balanced and elegant structure of minerals, spices, roses and tobacco. Gorgeous, especially next to a rustic dish of lentils, fennel, roasted potatoes and duckconfit.

Jan 10th, 2016Delicious! Earthy, meaty and some integrated tannins. Trying wines like these makes me feel bad for the ones I will try after.
