I’m sorry but this wine for me was rather rustic and for the price I would not buy it again. The tannins were a little coarse and the finish was just medium. The aromas were more about the leather and earth and less about the fruit or spice. I have been fortunate enough to drink some great Crozes-Hermitage and small producers from Cote-Rotie lately that I believe are higher quality at lower prices. Captivating in its youth, this is in a great place to check in on it before it starts to cross into maturity (which by my guess will start in 4-6 years and go to 20 easy). Intensity and finesse, with purple flowers, garrigue, pepper, tar, currants, strawberry, and raspberry. The ripe tannin are buried in the fleshy texture. The fruit clarity is insane, not sweet, not ripe tasting, just very precise and clear. Woke up after a few minutes in the glass. Pretty color with some rim variation. Incredible complexity and intensity on the nose.
