I’m sorry but this wine for me was rather rustic and for the price I would not buy it again. The tannins were a little coarse and the finish was just medium. The aromas were more about the leather and earth and less about the fruit or spice. I have been fortunate enough to drink some great Crozes-Hermitage and small producers from Cote-Rotie lately that I believe are higher quality at lower prices. In short, if you buy this thinking you’re getting #Chave #Hermitage at a bargain price...you’re not. — 4 years ago
There's wine...then there's #Chave. This 2001 #jlc #hermitage was absolutely stunning. — 8 years ago

Jean Louis says this is his ready to wear label - ( non Hermitage) but bless his heart. Friending beautifully- youngest of the Rhone vertical - but lovely wine. Expressive - with cigar and dark berry notes. Drinking really well. #chave lovely. Well done. — 3 years ago
