Les Arènes Cornas Syrah

Plenty of red fruit with a fun earthiness. I'm down.

Taught, structured, and built for the long haul!

2012 - Tight and structured with firm tannins. Finish was a bit short.

Candied, fresh, tannins, wood

Surprisingly fruit forward and balanced for such a young cornas. Really lively balance - austere but balanced with lovely fruit. Still lots of grip and tannin but v drinkable.

This opened up the longer it sat out. Very good wine. Barnyard funk nose. Definitely tasted the Mourvèdre in this blend.

Firm tannins. Great fruit expression.

Quite an interesting wine, very murky to the eye to start with, but once it had aired itself it was on a completely different level, complex flavours accompanied by a smooth taste, fantastic & could not recommend enough!
