Lodi Zinfandel

Bright ruby purple. Present nose of boysenberry cobbler. Echoed on the medium full, Fruity McFruitface palate. Medium acidity. Medium minus tannins are barely there, but somehow I don’t mind with this style. Probably because of the fruit bomby-ness of it all: who wants crippling tannins with that? But seriously, nurse… Enjoy this with burgers, pizza, or as I am, with chili over pasta.

I’m a big fan of Lodi Zin. Trying to figure out why this is not my thing. Drank it over 3 days. The astringency lessened and mellowed over time. Enjoying it more now as it opened up.

Fruit forward, mildly acidic. Black cherry, black currant, tobacco for taste.

Very sweet. Not my jam.

Decent Zin, but didn’t go well with dark chocolate. We had it with think pork chops

I think I really like it but againexperience the bitter aftertaste. Try again when I’m off prednisone

Solid value for a peppery and fruity Zin at $13. Might become a new regular.
