Mandrarossa ‘Timperosse’ 2018: Medium-bodied. Well structured. Balanced acidity & tannins. Palate is mostly plum & blackberry with secondary notes of black cherry, vanilla, spice & earth. The finish is lengthy & smooth. For me, this was an obscure grape variety for Italy but it worked and still retained some of its Bordeaux identity. Certainly my first Sicilian Petit Verdot and all in all, it was wonderful. I would sum it up as aromatic, beautiful & approachable with rich elegant fruit. I would definitely buy again. Great day to all! Cheers🍷

Nothing too fancy with the label. Simplicity. Color is great. Rosy red, with a deep color to it. Smells good. Deep preserved red and black fruits with a edge of roasted bar-b-que meats at the end. Flavors are lovely l. Smoke and cherry jam. Funky herbs like sage, marjoram, and purple basil. Cherry pits. Balanced and very well made. Avoids the fruit bomb and delivers a super Italian style that paired with sautéd greens, pasta in red sauce and olives like a match made in heaven.
