1998 Antinori Solaia Super Tuscan. Lunch at RW. Drank alongside the '08 Rhoda I Tempranillo. Very different. This wine was excellent with pizza and drinking alone. Beautiful, softly layered wine.

Magnum 1998 Antinori Solaia Super Tuscan. Group dinner at Pr- the second wine, following the '96 Hubert Lignier Clos de la Roche. We loved this wine and it was perfect with steak. Only decanted about 1.5 hours, and we prob could have decanted a couple more hours. It was still a little tight initially, but definitely opened up with a nose dark fruits, asphalt, and minerals. Complex and rich- a wine we all really enjoyed.
